This should be optional, not forced. It comes off as a money grab or scam to the customer. Maybe if it were a well know entity (UPS, FedEx, USPS etc) it wouldn’t be viewed this way but to force a charge and it be an unknown brand, it looks shady.

Route protection is optional. When you review your cart and are satisfied with your items, you’ll see a gray box that says:
- “Your order is protected for $XXX.”
- Below that, you’ll find the “Check Out” button. Underneath it, there is an option to “Check Out Without Coverage.”
Simply choose your preferred option and continue through the payment process.
Additionally, ROUTE is a very popular and well respected insurance policy for your order. They pay out any damages promptly. We've experienced issues with the carriers you mentioned above, and this is the best product we've identified. I will add that we do not make a penny off customers that purchase ROUTE protection.
