The oil pan is installed and it holds oil perfectly in the engine. There are other parts that are not holding oil in my Mini, but the OEM oil pan is now not one of them. I only needed to replace my oil pan due to some hack mechanic at a local shop thought it would be cool to jack the motor up by the oil pan which also crushed the oil pump pickup and was starving the engine of oil. The oil pan was shipped clean which is nice when buying used parts.
